Senior Conveyancer – Bournemouth – Legal 500 – 3 Days WFH - £55k to £68k
A well-established and highly regarded Bournemouth-based law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancer to join their Residential Property team.
Operating from two local offices and recognised in the Legal 500, the firm is known for the quality of its advice, long-standing client relationships and a modern, forward-thinking approach to practice.
The Role:
This is a Senior fee-earning position managing a full Residential Conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion. You will handle complex and high-value transactions with minimal supervision and provide technical guidance and support to junior colleagues where appropriate.
Alongside fee earning, the role includes contributing to business development, maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the continued development of the residential property team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload, including freehold and leasehold matters, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, new build and shared ownership transactions
- Handling complex and high-value transactions independently
- Drafting and negotiating residential property documentation
- Ensuring files are managed in line with SRA requirements, Conveyancing Protocol, CQS, LEXCEL and internal procedures
- Providing supervision, mentoring and technical support to junior team members
- Maintaining clear communication with clients, agents, lenders and third parties
- Supporting marketing, networking and business development initiatives
Ideal Pre-Requisites:
- Qualified Solicitor with strong experience in residential property (10+ years’ PQE preferred)
- Excellent technical knowledge of residential conveyancing and the local property market
- Confident managing a full caseload independently
- Strong client care, drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercially aware with an interest in business development
- Experience supervising or mentoring others is desirable
