Senior Associate, Corporate, 4+ PQE, £75k+, National Law Firm, Manchester

You'll join a Manchester corporate team of nine lawyers, backed by a national corporate group of around 100 specialists, so you get the closeness of a regional team with the depth and deal flow of a national platform.

You'll run transactions as the lead day-to-day fee earner, with partners on hand when you need them rather than taking the matter off you. This is a genuine step up in responsibility, not a senior title on associate work.

The client base is unusually broad, running from high-growth start-ups and university spinouts through to established businesses, investors, management teams and institutions. M&A is the core, with private equity alongside, and many deals carry an international element.

Private equity experience will help, but it isn't a requirement. Solid M&A experience from a national, international or respected regional firm is what counts.

There's real room to build a practice here. You'll be encouraged to develop your own network and client relationships, and to supervise and mentor junior lawyers as the Manchester team grows.

Work regularly crosses offices and teams, so you'll be collaborating with corporate colleagues around the country on complex matters rather than working in a silo.
