Residential Conveyancer | Leicester | £28,000-£45,000 | Established Team & Progression

The Firm

What if your next conveyancing move gave you the opportunity to develop within a large, established property department, while still having a genuine voice and being part of a real team?

Our client is a leading independent Leicester law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services to individuals and businesses. Its Residential Conveyancing department is large, well established and built around a collaborative team structure, giving you the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals while continuing to develop your own expertise.

This is a firm that understands the difference between having a large department and making people feel like they are part of it. You will have a voice, your contribution will be valued and you will work closely with colleagues rather than feeling like another cog in a machine.

The team structure is designed around knowledge-sharing, support and progression, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career within residential conveyancing without losing the benefits of working within a friendly and supportive environment.

The Role

  • Join an established Residential Conveyancing team, working closely with a qualified Conveyancing Team Leader and Paralegal.
  • Progress residential property transactions from initial instruction through to post-completion.
  • Take responsibility for a broad range of fee-earning conveyancing work within a supportive team environment.
  • Deal with sale enquiries, liaising with clients and third parties and arranging indemnity insurance where required.
  • Review mortgage offers and searches.
  • Complete title checks and raise enquiries on purchase matters.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports for clients.
  • Liaise with lenders regarding redemption figures, mortgage releases and Certificates of Title.
  • Check signed documentation prior to exchange and arrange for deposit funds to be requested.
  • Prepare completion documentation, including completion statements, invoices and undertakings.
  • Obtain client bank details and manage completion correspondence.
  • Keep clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors updated throughout the transaction.
  • Draft SDLT returns and deal with Help to Buy documentation where required.
  • Assist with all post-completion matters.
  • Maintain accurate case management information across multiple systems.
  • Support the Team Leader with referrer relationship management.
  • Help maintain consistently high standards of client care throughout every transaction.

Could you see yourself developing your conveyancing expertise while having experienced colleagues around you to share knowledge, offer support and help you progress?
