A long established and highly regarded East London law firm is seeking a Residential and Commercial Property Solicitor to join its busy and growing Property Department.
One of the longest running firms in the borough, the practice has built exceptional local connections and benefits from a consistent and steady flow of quality work. The Firm
This well established high street firm has a strong reputation for delivering high quality, personal legal services to both private and commercial clients. Its Property Department is busy, friendly and well supported, with longstanding relationships with local estate agents, brokers and repeat clients across East London.

The Role
You will manage your own caseload of residential and commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion, providing clear and practical advice and ensuring a smooth, efficient process throughout.
This role offers significant client contact and responsibility, making it ideal for a solicitor who enjoys working independently while remaining part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing a full caseload of freehold and leasehold residential matters including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
• Handling commercial property transactions including acquisitions, disposals, leases and landlord and tenant matters
• Conducting title investigations, raising and responding to enquiries, drafting and negotiating contracts and leases
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors to progress matters efficiently
• Maintaining accurate records using the firm’s case management system
• Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority requirements, AML obligations and data protection regulations
• Supporting business development and maintaining strong relationships with local referrers and clients

About You
Applications are welcomed from Qualified Solicitors in England and Wales from Newly Qualified level up to 2+ years PQE. Experienced Legal Executives and Licensed Conveyancers are also encouraged to apply.
You will demonstrate:
• Proven experience managing residential and commercial property files independently
• Strong communication and client care skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• A proactive and commercially aware approach
• Confidence using case management systems and digital conveyancing tools
• The ability to build and maintain lasting client and referrer relationships
