Description
An established and friendly firm in Horley is looking to appoint a Private Client Fee Earner to join their busy team on a part-time basis (3 to 4 days per week). This is a genuinely flexible opportunity, perfect for someone seeking a better work/life balance, particularly well-suited to individuals needing to work around school hours or other family commitments.
The Role:
This is a standalone fee earner position managing your own caseload with minimal supervision. You’ll be dealing with a broad mix of private client work, including:
- Wills & Probate (majority of the caseload)
- Trusts
- Estate Administration
- Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
While qualifications (e.g., Solicitor or Legal Executive) are welcomed, they are not essential. What matters most is your ability to run a private client caseload confidently and independently.
You’ll also have the benefit of paralegal support, and the team is very collaborative and approachable. For the right person, there is a clear progression pathway, including support towards qualification (if desired) and a potential route to Head of Department.
What They’re Looking For:
- A confident and experienced private client fee earner (qualified or non-qualified)
- Ability to manage a varied caseload without supervision
- Local to Horley or within a sensible commuting distance
- A genuine team player with excellent client care skills
- Someone who appreciates flexibility and a supportive work culture
What’s on Offer:
- Part-time hours (3 - 4 days a week)
- Flexible working – perfect for parents and school hours
- Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
- Supportive and friendly environment
- Paralegal assistance
- Career development and progression into leadership
This is a rare opportunity for a private client fee earner looking to take the next step in their career while maintaining work/life balance. Whether you're returning to work, seeking a less rigid structure, or looking for a long-term local opportunity with real scope to grow, this firm offers the right support and autonomy to thrive.
