The commercial team at this long-established firm has grown steadily over the last few years, and this hire adds to a practice that is still building.

The team covers general commercial, IT and IP, and privacy and data protection, so you won't be pushed into a single lane at this stage of your career. You'll be drafting and negotiating supply, distribution and outsourcing agreements, media and marketing contracts and technology deals, and any SaaS, software licensing or systems integration experience you have will be put to good use. Clients range from ambitious SMEs to household-name national and international brands.

At this level you'll run matters with real autonomy, build your own client relationships and help bring on the junior lawyers in the team. Business development is encouraged from day one rather than saved for senior associate level.

For a commercial lawyer who wants breadth, strong brands and genuine ownership of their clients, this is a hard combination to find in Leeds.
