Newly Qualified Licensing Solicitor |Times Best Law Firm | London

A highly regarded London law firm, recognised by The Times as one of the UK’s Best Law Firms, is seeking a Newly Qualified to 1 year PQE Solicitor to join its expanding Licensing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to build a long term career in licensing law within a supportive, well established and forward thinking practice.

The Role
You will advise clients across the hospitality, entertainment, retail and leisure sectors on a wide range of licensing matters.

Key responsibilities include:
• Advising on compliance with the Licensing Act 2003 and related legislation
• Preparing and submitting premises licence, personal licence and event licence applications
• Liaising with Licensing Authorities and Responsible Authorities
• Drafting DPS consent forms and statutory notices
• Ensuring correct publication and display of licensing notices
• Reviewing granted licences and correcting any errors
• Representing clients in licensing reviews, enforcement action and appeals before licensing committees and courts
• Attending hearings
• Maintaining accurate client records and complying with professional obligations
• Supporting business development and marketing initiatives

The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from Newly Qualified Solicitors up to 1 year PQE. Previous exposure to licensing work during training is preferred.
You will demonstrate:

• Clear and confident communication skills
• A proactive and client focused approach
