Legal Secretary – Tax & Trusts | York Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking to join a friendly, supportive, and highly regarded Tax & Trusts team?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive support to a busy team specialising in Tax & Trusts. Based in York, this role offers the chance to work across a varied caseload, supporting fee earners in matters including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, estate planning, and trusts.
The Role As a key member of the team, you will:
- Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and fee earners.
- Open and manage client files in accordance with firm procedures.
- Prepare legal documentation and correspondence.
- Handle client enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with diary management, document production, and general administration.
- Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department.
About You The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Tax & Trusts or Private Client.
- A solid understanding of wills, probate, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, and estate planning.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, positive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
