The Role
- Supporting a busy Private Client team covering wills, probate, trusts and tax
- Preparing correspondence and documents through audio typing
- Producing and formatting documents using the firm’s case management system
- Meeting and speaking with clients, providing helpful and professional support
- Handling incoming calls and dealing with general queries
- Setting up and maintaining probate case management modules
- Recording attendance notes accurately and promptly
- Taking messages clearly and passing them on without delay
- Undertaking photocopying, scanning and general administrative work
- Providing support to other secretaries where needed
- Managing diaries, scheduling appointments and arranging meetings for fee earners
- Participating in training and supporting your own professional development
- Ensuring confidentiality of client and firm information at all times
- Following internal procedures and completing reasonable requests made by senior staff
You
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within private client work
- Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A polite, professional telephone manner
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- A proactive, can-do attitude with strong organisational skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities effectively
