Description
Are you a solicitor with a year or two of post-qualification experience under your belt and a genuine interest in complex insurance litigation? If you’re ready to take a step up in your career and work on some of the most high-profile and sensitive cases in Scotland, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.
My client is a top-tier Scottish firm with an outstanding reputation in the healthcare and public sector space. They’re looking to bring on a solicitor with around 1–3 years’ PQE to join their highly respected team. The work is challenging but deeply rewarding – you’ll be defending local authorities in historic abuse and neglect claims, often involving difficult subject matter but cases that truly matter.
You won’t be thrown in at the deep end. You’ll be working closely with one of the country’s most experienced and respected Partners in this field – someone who is not only technically excellent but genuinely invested in mentoring and developing junior lawyers. You’ll get the support and exposure needed to become a specialist in a really niche and important area of law.
You don’t need to have direct experience of this type of litigation, but a background in defender personal injury, insurance litigation or public liability work would definitely help. What matters most is that you’ve got solid litigation skills, a good head for detail, and the emotional intelligence to handle sensitive cases with professionalism and care.
If that sounds like the kind of challenge you're looking for, I’d love to chat with you. Give me, Neil Campbell at QED Legal, a call or drop me a message using the details provided. Everything is, of course, completely confidential and there’s never any pressure to apply.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
