Description

An established and ambitious law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its expanding team. You’ll advise a varied client base, including SMEs and owner-managed businesses, on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with the autonomy to manage your own caseload and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

The role will involve:

  • Advising on employment contracts, staff handbooks and HR policies.
  • Supporting employers with disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and TUPE matters.
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to representation.
  • Advising on employment status, settlement agreements and restrictive covenants.
  • Handling partnership, director and senior executive disputes.
  • Drafting and negotiating employment documentation and settlement terms.
  • Developing client relationships and contributing to business development through networking and events.

About you

You’ll be a qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE in employment law and experience advising both employers and employees. You’ll have strong technical knowledge and the ability to provide clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice.

Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses, alongside exposure to partnership or senior executive disputes, would be particularly valuable. You’ll be confident managing your own matters, building client relationships and contributing to the development of the team.

What’s on offer?

  • A supportive, collaborative and people-focused working environment.
  • Meaningful opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • A forward-thinking firm that values fresh ideas and invests in modern working practices.
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
  • Office-based working across Suffolk and London, with occasional home working on a rota basis.
  • Some travel between offices may be required; access to a car is essential.

This is an opportunity to join a growing employment practice where you can take ownership of your work, strengthen client relationships and play an active role in the team’s future.
