The Role
- Manage and deliver exceptional, practical employment law advice to an assigned client base.
- Assist lead lawyers with employment tribunal claims for national and international organisations.
- Provide support and advice across key service areas including:
- Employment contracts, handbooks, and policies
- Outsourced ER (employee relations) solutions
- Project-based work or retained client support arrangements
- Work closely with clients across sectors such as builders’ merchants and industry suppliers, helping them stay compliant, reduce risk, and save tens of thousands of pounds in legal fees and potential compensation payments.
- Identify and convert opportunities to provide ‘best advice’, contributing to team and firm targets.
- Keep clients and colleagues informed by drafting insight updates on employment law developments.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with your clients through personal care and clear communication.
- Report directly to the Head of Legal Team, with ongoing support and mentoring.
You
- A qualified solicitor with experience in employment law (NQ–3 PQE ideal).
- Passionate about delivering straightforward, solutions-driven advice.
- Confident handling your own matters while contributing to wider team goals.
- A strong communicator who values transparency and client service.
- Commercially astute, positive, and motivated to learn and progress.
