    QED Legal is working with a firm seeking an experienced and motivated Employment Solicitor to join their Newcastle office. This is a unique opportunity for a well-rounded employment lawyer to engage in a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters within a dynamic and supportive team, working across offices in Newcastle, Leeds, and Tees Valley.

    The Role You’ll join the Employment Team, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from SMEs to large corporates. The work is intellectually stimulating and commercially significant, involving:

  • Advising on day-to-day HR and employment law matters
  • Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
  • Handling Employment Tribunal claims (for both respondents and claimants)
  • Supporting corporate transactions with employment due diligence and TUPE advice
  • Delivering training and workshops to clients
  • What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years PQE with a strong grounding in both contentious and non-contentious employment law
  • A commercially astute, solution-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships
