A highly progressive, fast-growing UK firm is making a key strategic hire in Scotland and is looking to bring in a Senior Employment Solicitor who wants more than just a sideways move. This is about influence, visibility and long-term progression, joining a team that is expanding with intent and investing in leadership north of the border rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

The firm is keen to speak with employment lawyers around the five-years’ PQE mark and above, particularly those already operating at Senior Associate level or approaching that step. There is genuine flexibility for the right person, including scope to progress towards Legal Director level for someone with the ambition and capability to do so. This is very much a role designed around where the market is going, not where it has been.

You’ll bring a strong respondent-side background and be comfortable handling a busy mix of tribunal litigation and wider advisory work. Contentious employment will remain a central part of your practice here, with plenty of opportunity to stay hands-on in tribunal work while also playing a broader role in client relationships and team development. If you enjoy being in the thick of the action rather than stepping away from litigation, this will suit you well.
