Description
Dispute Resolution Solicitor - Property Focus | Bournemouth | Hybrid | Legal 500 Firm
If you’re a Solicitor or Legal Executive with strong experience in civil litigation and a particular focus on property disputes, this role offers genuine variety, client contact, and the chance to join a highly regarded Legal 500 team within one of the South Coast’s best-known independent firms.
The Dispute Resolution department is well established, currently numbering around 15 fee earners and support staff. The firm itself has a headcount of around 100, with revenues in the region of £7–8m annually.
Day to day, you’ll manage a busy caseload spanning property and landlord/tenant disputes, boundary issues, contested wills and estates, commercial disagreements, professional negligence, IP matters, and urgent injunction work.
The role is client-facing and fee-earning, with opportunities to guide junior colleagues where appropriate and to develop your own client base. Disputes are handled both in court and via ADR.
The firm is looking for someone with at least 5 years’ PQE, confident in running their own files from start to finish. You’ll need a solid grounding in civil litigation and a detailed understanding of the CPR, and a strong background in property litigation is ideal, though wider experience across contentious matters is equally valued.
Benefits include a genuinely supportive culture, with hybrid working and flexible arrangements. The firm offers 33 days’ holiday, pension, and paid professional memberships. There is an Employee Assistance Programme providing counselling, 24/7 online GP access, and support for mental health and menopause; occupational sick pay, income protection for longer-term absence, and free eye tests with contributions towards lenses.
Annual salary reviews and clear promotion pathways ensure progression is both recognised and rewarded. The firm also has an active social committee arranging regular events and activities, all within walking distance of the beach – perfect for a lunchtime reset.
This is a permanent role, based in Bournemouth with hybrid working (typically 2–3 days in the office), with a competitive package, reflecting the firm’s commitment to both career development and personal wellbeing.
