The Opportunity A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Residential Property Solicitor / Residential Conveyancer to join its established residential property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Residential Property Lawyer with 3+ years' PQE to join a supportive and collaborative team where quality of work, client service and professional development are genuinely valued.

About You The successful candidate will ideally have at least 3 years' PQE or equivalent experience in residential conveyancing and be confident managing a caseload of residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.
You will be an organised, commercially aware and client-focused Residential Property Solicitor or Conveyancer who can work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
You should have:
- 3+ years' PQE or equivalent residential conveyancing experience
- Strong knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures
- Experience managing residential property transactions from instruction to completion
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organisational and case management abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Experience dealing with lenders, estate agents and other third parties
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of the residential property market
- An interest in networking and business development
Key Responsibilities As a Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer, you will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters, including:
- Taking instructions from clients and providing clear, practical legal advice
- Managing residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion
- Dealing with sales, purchases and associated conveyancing matters
- Liaising with clients, lenders, mortgage brokers, estate agents and other solicitors
- Reviewing contracts, searches, survey reports and mortgage offers
- Advising clients on property ownership and associated legal issues
- Ensuring compliance with lender requirements
- Conducting client due diligence, conflict checks and ongoing risk assessments
- Dealing with source of funds and source of wealth requirements
- Advising clients on SDLT and other transaction-related liabilities
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer documents, SDLT forms and other conveyancing documentation
- Managing exchange of contracts and completion deadlines
- Maintaining regular communication with clients and keeping them updated throughout transactions
- Dealing with post-completion requirements, including Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring all key dates are diarised
- Ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory and internal procedures
- Accurately recording time and adhering to billing and performance targets
- Contributing to business development, networking and relationship-building activity where appropriate

Working Arrangements The role offers hybrid working, although the successful candidate will ideally be office-based during their initial six-month probationary period to allow them to fully integrate into the team, systems and working practices.
