The role
- Join a national Construction & Engineering team that advises on all aspects of the construction process, focusing on non-contentious work.
- Work on drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of documents, including JCT, NEC and MF/1 contracts, consultant appointments, warranties, bonds, guarantees, development and funding agreements, agreements for lease, novation agreements and other project documentation.
- Collaborate with a team of over 25 specialists who advise on both the front-end and dispute aspects of projects, ensuring clients receive rounded, practical support.
- Be part of a team in growth mode, with the flexibility to tailor responsibilities to your experience level — from Associate through to Managing Associate.
- Contribute to major national projects, working with well-known names in the construction and engineering industry.
You
- Qualified solicitor with around 2–10 years’ PQE, ideally with experience gained at a recognised construction practice.
- Strong background in non-contentious construction work, or a mix of advisory and contentious matters with an interest in specialising on the front end.
- Excellent understanding of the construction industry, commercial drivers, and project risk management.
- Confident in managing workload, time recording, billing and achieving financial targets.
- A self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, professional approach.
- Technically proficient with case-management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Someone who thrives in a culture that values initiative, integrity, and client-focused advice.
