Description

Ambitious construction disputes solicitors at the NQ–5 PQE level rarely find opportunities combining top-tier work, genuine mentorship and sustainable billable expectations.

This leading Scottish firm offers exactly that, as it looks to add a talented solicitor to its highly regarded contentious construction team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The firm is widely recognised for its strength in the construction and infrastructure sector, advising a broad range of clients including national developers, energy companies, local authorities and major contractors. As part of this established team, you will work on a varied caseload of construction and infrastructure disputes, including adjudications, arbitrations and litigation. Many of the matters are high-profile and tied to major developments and infrastructure projects, offering exposure to some of the most interesting work in the Scottish market.

You will work closely with experienced partners and senior solicitors who are genuinely invested in developing the next generation of construction specialists. From the outset, you will be given meaningful responsibility while benefiting from strong mentorship, allowing you to develop your technical expertise, confidence and client exposure.

Equally important is the firm’s approach to sustainable legal careers. Billable expectations are carefully managed, reflecting a genuine commitment to maintaining a productive and supportive working environment while delivering excellent results for clients.

You will ideally have NQ–5 years’ post-qualification experience in contentious construction (if NQ, a ranked seat is necessary) or commercial litigation within a respected commercial practice. The team is also open to solicitors with strong disputes experience who are keen to specialise in construction law.

If you are looking to build your construction law career with a firm offering high-quality work, supportive mentorship and a genuinely sustainable approach to practice, this represents an outstanding opportunity.
