Compliance Officer

We're currently working with a fabulous specalist property law firm in London, renowned for their high quality work across HNW and international clients. They're currently looking for a Compliance Officer/Manager to join their team as a true generalist.

The Role?
This is a unique chance to step into a key role in the business. You will be part of a collaborative well-established team and have real influence on shaping compliance procedures and risk management practices across the firm.

• Maintain and oversee the firm’s compliance framework across AML, SRA, GDPR, and other regulatory obligations
• Conduct internal audits and file reviews; implement any necessary remedial actions
• Act as point of contact for compliance queries and regulatory changes
• Lead training sessions for legal and support staff on regulatory compliance matters
• Monitor and update the firm’s policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with best practices and legal requirements
• Liaise with external bodies (e.g., the SRA, Law Society) as required
• Assist with CQS accreditation maintenance and lender panel compliance obligations

About you?

• 4+ compliance experience within a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of SRA Codes of Conduct, AML regulations, GDPR, and other relevant legislation
• Experience working in a conveyancing or property law context is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and educate stakeholders at all levels
• You must be a compliance generalist
