Compliance Manager
London | Hybrid | Permanent
 up to £70k

We're currently working with a fabulous growing London law firm, looking to hire into a newly created role in their Compliance function.

Now looking for a Compliance Manager to report into the Head of Compliance. This current team of 2 looking to add someone senior in to bridge the gap between assistant and Head of. A great opportunity with real ownership across compliance, scope to modernise compliance, and improve processes.

The role?

  • Owning day-to-day regulatory compliance across the firm, including SRA standards, conflicts, AML, sanctions and anti-bribery matters
  • Acting as the firm’s subject-matter expert on AML and sanctions, ensuring policies, controls and procedures remain robust and up to date
  • Leading risk management activity, including maintaining risk registers and assessing emerging regulatory and operational risks
  • Managing and supporting responses to regulatory bodies and external investigations 
  • Preparing for and managing external audits and accreditations, including CQS
  • Delivering firm-wide compliance training and working with IT and L&D teams on ongoing education initiatives
  • Advising on and implementing legal tech and AI solutions to improve compliance efficiency and oversight
  • Supporting professional indemnity insurance and practising certificate renewals
  • Helping to build a strong, practical culture of compliance across the firm

About you?

Strong compliance experience within a UK law firm, 5+ years experience
Excellent knowledge of SRA, AML, sanctions & GDPR
Experience managing audits and regulatory investigations
Confidence advising senior stakeholders
A practical, commercial mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities
