Description
Banking Associate, 2-4 PQE, £90k-£105k, International Law Firm, Manchester
A chance for a junior to mid-level banking lawyer to join the Manchester team of a leading international firm at a point where the team is adding capacity at more than one level.
The work spans lender and borrower side, covering acquisition finance, real estate finance, general corporate lending and refinancings. Matters range from mid-market facilities through to larger, multi-jurisdictional financings, and you will regularly work with colleagues in other offices on cross-border deals.
You will be working directly alongside senior lawyers rather than several layers removed from them. That means drafting and negotiating facility agreements and security documents yourself, managing conditions precedent and completions, and dealing with clients from early on. For anyone who wants the step up in responsibility, it comes quickly.
The appeal here is the combination of scale and access. You get the international platform, client base and deal flow, while working within a Manchester team small enough that your contribution is noticed and your development is actively supported.
This would suit someone at a regional or national firm who wants bigger-ticket work without moving to London, or an associate at a larger firm who feels their development has stalled.
