Associate / Senior Associate, Health Commercial & Data Protection, 1+ PQE, £62k+, National Firm, Manchester

You'll join a sizeable health commercial and regulatory team at a national firm, based in Manchester with colleagues across the firm's UK offices.

The role sits where data protection meets healthcare. You'll advise NHS bodies, health tech developers and researchers on how patient data can lawfully be shared, processed and put to new uses, including international transfers. Alongside that is a solid commercial seam: clinical research agreements, technology contracts, licensing arrangements, and framework and call-off terms.

Clients range from NHS Trusts and primary care providers to independent healthcare providers and life sciences businesses. There's a public law angle too, covering statutory powers and Freedom of Information requests. You'll also be the specialist data protection resource for the firm's clients outside health, which gives you a profile well beyond your own team.

Client responsibility comes early, and you'll be encouraged to build your own relationships with clients and intermediaries from the outset. For anyone wanting to build a career in health data law, this is one of the leading health practices in the UK market.
