We’re working with a leading US firm looking to add into their London conflicts team, as they continue to invest in their global risk and compliance function.
This is a genuinely high-impact role, sitting at the heart of the firm’s decision-making around client onboarding, new matters, and firm-wide risk. You’ll work closely with partners and senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, helping to navigate complex conflicts issues in a fast-paced, international environment.
The Role?
As a Senior Conflicts Lawyer, you’ll take ownership of complex conflict analysis and resolution across a broad range of matters.
- Leading on conflict checks for new clients and matters across global offices
- Acting as a key point of contact for partners on conflicts queries and risk issues
- Analysing and resolving potential legal and commercial conflicts across transactions, disputes, and advisory work
- Advising on conflict rules, waivers, and engagement terms
- Supporting the development and maintenance of ethical screens
- Reviewing matters for potential legal or ethical concerns and escalating where needed
- Driving best practice across conflicts processes and contributing to ongoing improvements
About you?
- 5+ years’ legal experience (law firm or in-house)
- Strong understanding of conflicts of interest and risk frameworks
- Exposure to complex corporate structures, transactions, or litigation
- Experience working with financial institutions, private equity, or large corporates
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and challenging where needed
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex issues clearly
