Description

The Role
An established and highly regarded regional firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor (3 years’+ PQE) to join its growing team in North Yorkshire. This opportunity sits within a well-respected Private Client department known for delivering high-quality, client-focused advice across wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney.

Reporting to the Head of Department, you will manage your own varied caseload while contributing to the wider success of the team. The role offers a strong balance of autonomy and collaboration, with the expectation that you will deliver excellent technical advice, maintain exceptional client care standards, and support business development initiatives. You will also play a role in strengthening existing client relationships and building new ones, ensuring services align with both departmental objectives and the firm’s broader strategic goals.

This position offers genuine progression prospects within a supportive and ambitious environment, where quality of work and long-term client relationships are paramount.

The Ideal Candidate
The firm is keen to speak with qualified Solicitors with a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in Private Client matters. You will have demonstrable experience handling wills, probate, estate administration, LPAs and, ideally, trusts. A strong academic background and solid technical grounding are essential.

You will be confident managing your own caseload and comfortable working directly with clients, often dealing with sensitive matters requiring empathy and discretion. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines are key. Commercial awareness and an interest in business development will also be important, as the role includes networking and contributing to the department’s continued growth.

A collaborative mindset is essential. You will be someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, supports colleagues, and upholds the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Benefits
The firm offers a competitive salary reflective of experience, alongside a supportive working culture that values both performance and wellbeing. Flexible working arrangements are available, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

You will benefit from a structured development framework, clear progression pathways, and ongoing training to support your long-term career ambitions. The firm prides itself on its inclusive culture, strong regional presence, and commitment to nurturing talent at every stage of qualification.
