Description

Solicitor / Associate – Commercial Real Estate | National Real Estate Team
Newcastle upon Tyne

I’m currently working on an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor or Associate to join a leading Commercial Real Estate team within a highly regarded national law firm.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a 2–5 PQE real estate lawyer to join a collaborative cross-office team with a focus on development, corporate occupier work and non-health public sector projects.

The wider real estate group is one of the largest in the UK, offering exposure to a diverse and high-quality client base including developers, corporates, funds, government departments, universities and public sector bodies.

The role will involve:

  • Working on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions
  • Supporting senior lawyers on large-scale and high-value development projects
  • Acting on landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions and disposals
  • Advising corporate occupiers and public sector clients
  • Leading on transactions (with supervision and support)
  • Acting as a key client contact on day-to-day matters
  • Ensuring compliance with client protocols and internal processes
  • Supporting business development and client relationship initiatives
  • Collaborating with colleagues across planning, construction, procurement and corporate teams

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be 2–5 years PQE
  • Have strong commercial real estate experience from a national or regional firm
  • Have experience across acquisitions, disposals and landlord & tenant work
  • Be commercially minded and solutions-focused
  • Be confident managing matters with increasing autonomy
  • Have strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative, team-focused environment

This opportunity offers:

  • High-quality, varied and complex real estate work
  • Exposure to major national projects and clients
  • Clear progression opportunities within a growing team
  • Strong supervision and support
  • Flexible and hybrid working
  • A supportive and well-established national platform
