Description
Residential Conveyancer | Plymouth | Career Development | Legal 500 Standing
This is an opportunity to join a well-established South West legal practice that has built a strong reputation in the regional market. With an expanding headcount of around 90 and multiple offices across Devon, the firm has achieved consistent year-on-year growth, with current annual revenue circa £8 million, and residential conveyancing forming a key part of its private client offering.
The residential property team is a key part of the firm’s success and operates across all offices. The department is led by a Senior Partner (CILEX) who brings substantial technical experience. Team members work flexibly and collaboratively across the locations, with weekly hub days in the head office and regular training, meetings, and social gatherings, contributing to a great culture.
This role is based in Plymouth and is well suited to someone who is part or newly qualified, or already experienced in conveyancing and looking to further develop their career. The role will evolve based on your level of experience, with the support of senior lawyers and dedicated legal support staff to help you build and manage your own caseload. You’ll gain exposure to a broad mix of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, leasehold matters, shared ownership, new builds, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
The team offers an environment where your development is prioritised, and your growth is actively supported. Whether you’re currently studying towards qualification or have recently qualified via the CILEx, CLC or Solicitor route, you’ll be given structured training, responsibility in line with your capability, and the tools to progress.
The firm places high importance on staff wellbeing and retention, offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes a competitive salary, generous annual leave of 33 days' and your birthday off, a bonus scheme, private health cash plan membership, enhanced family and sick leave policies, and additional perks such as a cycle to work scheme and free legal services for employees. Flexible working is also available following a successful probation period, and the firm actively encourages open communication, support, and learning across all teams.
If you're looking to grow your conveyancing career in a firm with a strong presence in the local legal market and a proven record of investing in its people, this could be your ideal next step.
