The role
You will play a key part in supporting fee earners across a varied residential conveyancing caseload, assisting from initial instruction through to post-completion. The team is known for its collaborative approach, clear communication with clients, and use of modern systems to ensure transactions progress smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and closing files on the case management system in line with AML requirements, SRA regulations and CQS standards
  • Assisting with freehold and leasehold transactions
  • Carrying out online searches and liaising with third-party providers
  • Using the Land Registry portal to submit registrations, respond to requisitions and obtain official copies, leases and title plans
  • Producing Stamp Duty Land Tax calculations and submitting applications
  • Preparing billing documentation, receipts and payment requests for the finance team
  • Providing occasional reception cover where required

About you
You will already have experience within a residential conveyancing environment and a solid understanding of how property transactions progress day to day. You take pride in your organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.

You are likely to have:

  • Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal (preferred)
  • A good working knowledge of legal office procedures
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using case management systems
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A practical understanding of the conveyancing process

The offer

  • Office-based role within a friendly and approachable property team
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:15pm with a one-hour lunch break
  • Immediate start available
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience
  • 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Firm-funded eye tests
  • Monthly holiday bonus scheme, offering additional annual leave based on regional performance
  • Ongoing training and development, including support towards professional qualifications

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-structured residential conveyancing team where quality of work, client service and long-term development are genuinely prioritised.
