Private Client Solicitor/Associate | 3PQE+ | High Net Worth | Flexible Working | Growth Opportunity 

This is a key opportunity for Solicitors/CILEx Lawyers with 3 years' PQE and a background in advising HNW individuals, business owners, or agricultural clients, to join a staple firm in Dorset. 

The firm (Legal 500) has built a reputation in Dorset (and across the SW) for its expertise in complex estate planning, succession structuring, tax matters, and trust work. The private client team is central to that success, and continues to expand steadily; contributing over £5 million in annual revenue within a wider firm turnover circa £25 million. The department is made up of around 25 legal professionals across several offices, including Partners, Senior Associates and a close-knit team of juniors and support staff. 

You’ll be advising a varied client base of HNW individuals, families, business owners and landowners on everything from wills and trusts, to succession planning, asset structuring, and wealth preservation. Many clients have complex, multi-generational estates or business assets, so this is a role that suits someone who enjoys thinking strategically and has an eye for tax efficiency. Experience working with owner-managed businesses or rural/agricultural clients will be particularly valued.

There’s also room to get involved in business development, playing to your strengths. If you already have a network of referrers or loyal clients, that’s a bonus, but you’ll be supported to build one through marketing initiatives, community events, and collaboration with the wider commercial teams. There’s plenty of scope for progression and leadership, with a clear path mapped out from Associate through to Partnership for the right person.
