4–6 Years PQE
Location: Newcastle

A leading progressive law firm in the North of England is seeking to appoint a Medical Negligence Associate/Senior Associate (Claimant) with 4–6 years’ PQE. About the Team The successful candidate will be joining a respected Medical Negligence & Serious Injury department. The team is known for handling high-value, complex and sensitive clinical negligence matters and includes specialists recognised in both regional and national legal directories.

Their work covers a broad spectrum of claimant cases including:

  • Birth injury, neonatal and brain injury claims
  • Delayed or incorrect diagnosis
  • Surgical errors and substandard treatment
  • Fatal accident and dependency claims
  • Serious and catastrophic injuries, including spinal injury

The team is consistently praised for being approachable, knowledgeable and highly supportive of clients navigating life-changing medical issues.

Candidate Profile Applications are invited from solicitors with:

  • 4–6 years of post-qualification experience in claimant medical negligence
  • Strong technical ability in managing a medical negligence caseload
  • A proactive, positive and collaborative approach to working within a specialist team
  • Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
  • Experience of working to fee-earning targets (advantageous but not essential)

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced fee-earners, paralegals and support staff on high-quality, meaningful work.
