The Role
Due to growth within the litigation department, my client is now looking for a confident and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join their busy team in their Leicester, Bedford or Northampton office. The successful candidate will handle a broad caseload with a focus on contentious probate and general civil litigation matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a full caseload of litigation matters from inception to conclusion
- Advising clients on a range of disputes, with a focus on contentious probate
- Conducting legal research and pre-claim investigations
- Drafting pleadings, statements of case, and court documentation
- Attending court hearings and conferences, with or without counsel
- Working with internal and external parties to progress cases efficiently
- Supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters as needed
- Mentoring and supervising junior team members when required
You
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in a busy, collaborative team.
What makes you stand out in a crowd of litigators?

- Is a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Has ideally 3+ years’ experience in litigation (contentious probate desirable)
- Has a good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Demonstrates strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Can prioritise workloads and work well under pressure
- Maintains a professional and empathetic approach with clients
- Works well independently but also values being part of a supportive team
