Description
Litigation Solicitor | 5PQE+ | Cheltenham | Broad Disputes Work | Clear Progression | £55k - £65k
Having already placed two solicitors in 2025 with this firm, I'm pleased to have yet another great opportunity to offer! My client is seeking a litigator who enjoys variety, thrives on results, and wants to work in a close-knit but ambitious team.
This established and profitable regional firm punches well above its weight, generating over £6.5 million in firmwide revenue annually, with the litigation department contributing a solid share of that through a broad mix of private and commercial dispute work.
The dispute resolution team itself is made up of two highly experienced directors, two talented solicitors, a solicitor apprentice, and a rotating pool of trainee solicitors, all supported by dedicated admin staff. It’s a team with a strong identity and a great balance of support, autonomy, and progression.
The work on offer is varied and intellectually stimulating - no two days are the same. You'll be managing your own caseload from the get-go, covering a mix of civil and commercial disputes, property litigation, and contentious probate. That said, if you’ve honed your expertise in a more niche area, they’re open-minded and happy to play to your strengths.
There are regular opportunities to collaborate with directors on higher-value or more complex cases, offering valuable exposure and shared learning. As a more senior member of the team, you’ll also play a role in supporting junior lawyers and helping shape litigators within the firm.
Culturally, this is a genuinely collaborative environment. They’re proud of their track record of promoting from within, and clear progression routes are backed by action, not just talk. If partnership is your goal, you’ll be supported to get there with mentoring, visibility, and opportunities to lead.
Hybrid working is available, and you’ll be trusted to manage your time and caseload without being micromanaged. The benefits package is strong too, including private medical cover, pension, income protection, 33 days' holiday, and mental health support initiatives that genuinely mean something to the firm.
You can reach out confidentially by emailing mohamed.hamza@qedlegal.com or calling 07300 236070 to talk through the role and whether it’s a fit for you.
