Description

We are working with a highly respected UK Top 150 law firm, who are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join their growing team, based in their Alconbury office. 

With multiple offices strategically positioned across the Midlands and East Anglia, this firm is known for its strong internal culture, collaborative ethos, and delivery of commercially sound advice to a national client base, while maintaining close, long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Assist with the day-to-day management of contentious matters, from pre-action through to trial and enforcement.
•    Draft legal documents and correspondence including instructions to counsel, witness statements, disclosure lists, court applications, and trial bundles.
•    Manage case files and key documents using the firm’s case management system.
•    Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw UK or LexisLibrary.
•    Liaise with clients, barristers' chambers, courts, experts, and third parties.
•    Prepare court documents and assist with electronic and paper filing.
•    Attend client meetings, mediations, hearings, and trials as required.
•    Monitor court deadlines and assist with diary management and key date tracking.
•    Support the team in preparing cost schedules and basic billing tasks.
•    Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional conduct requirements as outlined by the SRA and other regulatory bodies.

Experience: 

•    At least 1–2 years’ experience working in a litigation paralegal role within a UK law firm or in-house legal team.
•    Solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and UK court systems.
•    Familiarity with court forms, directions, and procedural deadlines
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
•    Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational abilities.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
•    Strong attention to detail and time management.
•    Willingness to take on early responsibility and manage smaller cases under supervision.
•    Experience with commercial litigation, employment disputes, or regulatory proceedings would be a huge advantage
