An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant to join a busy and highly regarded Property Department in Chichester. This full-time role offers hybrid working and the chance to become part of a progressive, commercially successful firm with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client care.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Fee Earners across both Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Property matters. This is a varied and fast-paced position suited to a proactive and confident individual who thrives in a client-focused environment and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work.
You will be responsible for preparing legal documentation and correspondence, managing files within a paperlite environment, liaising professionally with clients, agents, lenders and third parties, and supporting file compliance in line with internal procedures and Lexcel standards. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential.
Applicants should have prior experience within a Property Department, whether residential or commercial, and proven experience working in a Solicitors’ office. Excellent administrative and IT skills are required, along with strong communication abilities and a commitment to exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organised and equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
