Legal Assistant – Private Client
Harrogate | Full-Time
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Assistant to join a busy Private Client department in Harrogate on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a professional office environment and supporting fee earners with high-quality document production and client communication. The Role
You will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring documents are produced efficiently and presented to a high standard, and that clients receive a professional and responsive service.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Audio and copy typing using digital dictation
• Preparing legal documents, correspondence and bills
• Managing diaries and arranging appointments
• Handling telephone enquiries within agreed guidelines
• Liaising with clients and third parties
• Filing and general administrative duties
• Supporting reception when required
• Assisting colleagues and providing cover during absence
• Preparing instructions for accounts and outgoing post About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent word processing and audio typing ability
• A confident and professional telephone manner
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• The ability to handle confidential information appropriately
• Experience working in an office environment
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is advantageous but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, is required. This is a varied and rewarding position within a supportive and professional team environment. It would suit someone organised, adaptable and keen to contribute to the smooth running of a busy Private Client department.
