Family Solicitor | Legal Aid, Domestic Abuse & Private Children | Established East London Firm

A well established and community focused firm in East London is seeking a Family Solicitor to join its close knit and supportive team based in Ilford. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with legal aid experience to take on a meaningful caseload and play a key role in delivering vital legal services to clients.

The Role
You will take on an existing caseload of family matters, with a particular focus on domestic abuse and private children law, while also building and developing your own pipeline of work.
Your caseload will include a range of sensitive and often urgent matters, requiring a high level of care, empathy, and professionalism. You will advise and represent clients through all stages of their cases, providing clear, practical guidance and strong advocacy.
This is a hands on role within a small team, offering the opportunity to make a genuine difference to clients while developing your experience in a supportive setting.

The Candidate
You will be a qualified Solicitor with experience in family law, including legal aid work, domestic abuse matters, and private children cases.
You will demonstrate strong client care skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and discretion. Confidence in managing your own caseload and working independently is important, alongside a willingness to contribute positively to a small team environment.
A proactive and organised approach, with a genuine commitment to this area of law, will be key to success in this role.
