Description
My client, a specialist family and criminal practice, are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor. This is a unique opportunity to take on the role of Legal Aid Supervisor and Head of Department. A staged transition into the leadership position can be accommodated for the right candidate.
The Role The successful applicant will manage a varied caseload covering both Public Law and Private Law family matters. The role includes Legal Aid supervision responsibilities and a significant contribution to the ongoing development and management of the family department. Depending on experience and preference, there will also be opportunities to undertake advocacy.
Progression and Responsibility This position offers flexibility in how senior responsibilities are assumed. Candidates may step directly into the Head of Department role or progress into it over time, making the opportunity suitable for both established leaders and experienced solicitors looking to take the next step in their career.
Salary and Benefits The firm is offering a competitive salary dependent on experience. There is a genuinely flexible approach to working arrangements, including working from home options and flexibility around office attendance, dependant on advocacy and diary commitments.
The Ideal Candidate Applicants should be qualified Family Solicitors with at least 2 years qualified experience, strong experience in Legal Aid work, and confidence in handling both public and private family matters. Supervisor status is desirable, although candidates working towards this will also be considered. The firm is seeking someone with an interest in leadership, supervision, and contributing to the long-term success of the department.
