Description
Opportunities like this don't come around very often in the Highlands.
If you're looking to build your career alongside some of the most experienced family lawyers in the region while working on genuinely high-quality and varied matters, this is a role well worth exploring.
You'll be joining a highly regarded and growing family law team with an excellent reputation for both the quality of its legal advice and the way it looks after its clients. This is a team that works collaboratively, shares knowledge freely and is genuinely invested in helping colleagues develop and progress their careers.
The work is broad, interesting and often complex. You'll advise clients across the full spectrum of family law, including separation and divorce, financial provision, child residence and contact disputes, relocation matters and other sensitive family issues. The team acts for a diverse client base, from individuals with straightforward matters through to high-net-worth clients with complex financial arrangements, giving you the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while gaining exposure to an excellent variety of work.
This is very much a client-facing role where you'll have the opportunity to build trusted relationships and support clients through what can often be one of the most challenging periods of their lives. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues, attend court, prepare cases and play an active role in delivering practical, solution-focused advice that genuinely makes a difference.
Beyond managing your caseload, you'll be encouraged to become involved in business development, networking, legal updates and raising your own professional profile. If you enjoy building relationships and want to be part of a team with ambitious plans for the future, you'll find plenty of encouragement and support here.
The firm is keen to speak with solicitors from Newly Qualified level through to around four years' PQE who have gained experience in family law, either during their traineeship or since qualifying. More importantly, they're looking for someone who is compassionate, commercially aware and committed to delivering exceptional client care. You'll be organised, proactive and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team where everyone is focused on achieving the best possible outcome for their clients.
Whether you're already based in the Highlands or are considering relocating, this is an opportunity to enjoy the best of both worlds. You'll have the chance to build your career within a highly respected Scottish private practice while enjoying everything the Highlands has to offer — a fantastic quality of life, an outdoor lifestyle and a welcoming community, all without compromising on the quality of the work you'll be doing.
In return, you'll join a firm that genuinely invests in its people. You'll enjoy excellent mentoring from highly experienced colleagues, ongoing training and development, high-quality work, a collaborative and supportive culture, genuine opportunities for progression and a competitive salary and benefits package.
If you're beginning to think about your next move and would like to find out more, I'd be delighted to have a confidential conversation.
