Experienced Commercial Property Paralegal – Stamford – £26,000 to £32,000

The Role

• Handle a broad range of commercial property matters including:
  • Client liaison and responding to enquiries
  • Leasehold and freehold acquisitions and disposals
  • Drafting and approving leases
  • Due diligence, including enquiries and title investigation
  • Undertaking necessary searches
  • Liaising with agents and utility companies regarding easements and transfers
  • Preparing auction packs
  • Managing exchange, completion, and post-completion correspondence (including Stamp Duty Land Tax, Companies House, and Land Registry registrations)
  • Ensuring accounts are balanced and files closed at the end of matters
• Support the department’s marketing policy to promote and enhance the firm’s reputation
• Collaborate with Partners and Fee Earners to develop new business
• Contribute to the growth of the Commercial Property Department while maximising cross-referrals across the firm

You

• Law degree or equivalent work-based experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Ability to work confidently and in a structured, process-driven way
• Desire to provide high-quality service and maintain high integrity
• Experience in a law firm, particularly in commercial property, is desirable
• Knowledge of case management systems (e.g., Visual Files) and Solicitors Accounts Rules / Money Laundering Regulations is desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
