A fantastic opportunity for a circa 0–2 PQE Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join the civil litigation team of a highly regarded Central London law firm with a strong reputation for its commitment to social justice and high-quality legal work.
This is a particularly good opportunity for a junior litigator looking to build on their experience within a supportive and experienced team, gaining exposure to a varied caseload while developing their own client relationships and litigation skills.
The Role
You will work alongside senior members of the team on a broad range of civil litigation matters, whilst also taking responsibility for your own files.
The role offers plenty of client contact and hands-on involvement in interesting and complex cases, with the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, advocacy and case management skills.
There is also an expectation that you will take a proactive approach to business development and marketing, giving you the opportunity to become involved in developing the team and building your own profile as your career progresses.
Your work is likely to include matters across general civil litigation, with experience in at least one of the following areas particularly useful:
• Contentious probate
• Professional negligence
• Property disputes
You will also have the opportunity to work across different funding arrangements, including private, CFA and LEI funded matters.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
• 0–2 years’ PQE and experience within general civil litigation
• Experience dealing with private, CFA and LEI funding arrangements
• Experience in contentious probate, professional negligence and/or property disputes
• A good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Strong communication, negotiation and client management skills
• The ability to manage a busy and varied caseload while working effectively as part of a team
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of client care
• A genuine interest in developing their technical and commercial skills
This would suit someone who is keen to establish themselves within a strong litigation team, enjoys direct client contact and wants the opportunity to take ownership of their work from an early stage.
