Description
If you’re looking to develop your career in litigation and want exposure to a genuinely varied caseload where you can build your court experience, this could be an excellent next move.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and supportive Dispute Resolution team where you’ll handle a broad range of interesting matters including property disputes, housing, debt recovery and contractual disputes.
Importantly, this isn’t a role where you’ll simply be assisting in the background. You’ll have the opportunity to draft, raise and progress court actions through the Sheriff Court, become involved in settlement negotiations and work alongside experienced colleagues on more complex matters.
You’ll be given the support and supervision you need as you settle into the team, but there is also plenty of opportunity to take on greater responsibility as your experience and confidence develop.
I’m keen to speak with solicitors who have a genuine interest in dispute resolution and who want to build their career within litigation. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing deadlines, with strong communication skills and a commitment to providing an excellent level of service.
What really appeals to me about this opportunity is the scope to develop. You’ll be encouraged to build your technical skills and litigation experience, with ongoing training and support and a clear opportunity to progress your career.
Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll receive an excellent benefits package including an annual bonus, holiday bonus, the opportunity to purchase additional annual leave, pension, life assurance, enhanced maternity and paternity benefits, employee assistance programme and access to on-site gym facilities.
The position is full time, 35 hours per week, and based in Glasgow city centre.
If you’re already working in litigation and would like greater variety, or you’re at an earlier stage in your career and looking for an opportunity where you can really develop your dispute resolution and court experience, I’d be delighted to tell you more.
