Description
We are working with a Global Luxury brand based in the Midlands who are looking to hire a Data Protection Officer to join the business.
In this role you will ensure the business manages Risk and Legal Compliance related to Data Protection. This will include the General Data protection Regulations (GDPR) including any other relevant laws.
As the Primary contact you will establish and promote best practice across the business in relation to Data Protection.
Responsibilities
- Compliance Oversight - Monitor and ensure Compliance with Data Protection
- Risk assessment; identify and assess risk associated with data process activities and implement solutions as required
- Develop, maintain and update data protection policies, procedures and governance frameworks
- Design and deliver data protection training and awareness programmes business wide.
- Conduct data protection audits and privacy assessments to ensure ongoing compliance
- Lead investigations into data breaches or incidents ensuring timely remediation and reporting to the relevant authorities
- Providing expert advice to senior management and business wide on data protection obligations and best practice
About you:
- Expertise in data protection laws and GDPR
- Experience in the Luxury goods sector
- Ability to analyse complex data process activities and recommend practical solutions
- CIPP/CIPM are desirable
