Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancer or Conveyancing Executive to join a well-regarded and growing law firm based in York.
This is a full-time position within a busy and well-established residential property team, offering the chance to handle a high-quality caseload of sale and purchase matters from initial instruction through to completion. The role will suit someone confident dealing with both freehold and leasehold transactions who is comfortable working with a high level of autonomy, while still enjoying the support of a collaborative team. Client care is central to the firm’s approach, and there is a real emphasis on building long-term relationships and delivering a consistently high standard of service.
The successful candidate will manage matters at all stages of the conveyancing process, including taking client instructions, progressing and preparing documentation, managing billing and ensuring compliance with office and accounts procedures. There may also be opportunities to take on delegated supervisory responsibilities, depending on experience. Maintaining strong technical knowledge and keeping up to date with best practice is an important part of the role.
Applicants should have at least two years experience in a similar residential conveyancing position, with sound technical knowledge and the ability to explain complex issues clearly and confidently to clients. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment are essential, as is a proactive, positive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Good IT skills and a solid understanding of professional conduct requirements are also expected.
The firm is on an exciting growth trajectory and offers a supportive working environment, genuine long-term stability and the opportunity to further develop your career within a respected property practice. Salary is competitive and will be based on experience.
