Description

Conveyancer | Coalville, Leicestershire | Established Caseload, Genuine Work-Life Balance & Real Progression Opportunities | £30,000 - £45,000

The Firm

What if you could focus on delivering great conveyancing work without the pressure of business development targets, management responsibilities or unrealistic expectations?

This long-established Leicestershire practice has been serving its local community for over a century and has built an exceptional reputation for client care, professionalism and quality legal advice. The Residential Property Department enjoys deep roots within the local market, benefiting from a loyal client base, longstanding referrer relationships and a consistent flow of quality work.

The firm has successfully combined traditional values with a modern and supportive approach to practice. Lawyers are trusted to manage their caseloads independently, supported by experienced colleagues and approachable leadership, creating an environment where people are encouraged to succeed without being micromanaged. Whilst this role does not come with management responsibilities, there is genuine scope for progression and increased responsibility for those who wish to develop their career over the longer term.

The Role

  • Manage your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
  • Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Deal with transfers of equity and remortgages
  • Deliver excellent client care throughout the transaction process
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced property team
  • Focus on fee earning and client service rather than management or leadership responsibilities
  • New build experience is welcomed but not required

You

  • Experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong technical knowledge of freehold and leasehold transactions
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • A proactive and organised approach to file management
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced conveyancing fee earner considered
  • New build experience would be advantageous but is by no means essential

Have you found yourself spending more time worrying about targets, KPIs and internal politics than delivering quality legal work for your clients?

Wouldn't it be refreshing to join a firm where the files are already there, the support is available when needed, and you're trusted to get on with the job?

Benefits

  • Salary of £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
  • 29 days holiday entitlement
  • 26 days annual leave plus 3 additional days during the Christmas closure period
  • Life Assurance scheme providing 4x annual salary
  • Free parking
  • Flexible working hours considered
  • Hybrid working arrangements considered
  • Established caseload and consistent workflow
  • Strong local reputation and loyal client base
  • Supportive and approachable leadership team
  • High levels of autonomy and trust
  • No micromanagement culture
  • Friendly and collaborative working environment
  • Real scope for career progression for those who want it
  • Long-term stability with a respected and well-established practice

Not everyone is looking for management responsibilities today, but it's reassuring to know they're available tomorrow. Whether you're seeking a role to settle into for the long term or a platform from which to continue developing your career, this opportunity offers the flexibility to shape your future in a way that suits you.

If you're ready to join a firm where your experience is valued, your autonomy is respected and your career can develop at your pace, contact Toby Ryan at QED Legal today and discover why this could be the move that reinvigorates your career.
