About the Opportunity
I’m working with a leading national law firm that’s currently expanding its Healthcare team and is seeking experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitors.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and respected healthcare practice that advises on all aspects of healthcare law, including defendant clinical negligence claims and healthcare regulation. The team acts for a wide range of clients such as NHS bodies, medical indemnifiers, private hospitals, clinics, care homes, individual clinicians, and insurers.
You’ll be part of a dynamic, collaborative team working on high-quality, complex cases, with genuine scope for career development and progression. The firm also offers a flexible and supportive working culture.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include:
- Managing a varied caseload of pre-litigation and litigated clinical negligence claims
- Conducting or assisting on complex and high-value matters
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and legal advice
- Attending hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with internal and client SLAs and KPIs
- Supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development and contributing to tenders
- Achieving operational and financial targets
About You
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with experience in defendant clinical negligence work. You should demonstrate:
- Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and claims processes
- Excellent technical, drafting, and communication skills
- Analytical, investigative, and problem-solving ability
- Effective time management and organisation
- Commercial awareness and client-focused approach
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and IT skills
