Banking & Finance Senior / Principal Associate, 6+ PQE, £80,000 to £110,000 Tier 1 International Firm

A top-50 UK firm is building out leveraged finance in Leeds and wants a Senior or Principal Associate (6+ PQE) to help lead that push across the North, with an established national banking team behind you.

The standout is the chance to shape the local team and its brand while a national banking practice that operates as one, provides the deal flow, structure and support. You get the ownership of a growing office without the isolation of building alone.

The work is genuine leveraged finance: sponsor-led and corporate financings, growth lending and venture debt, across the full lifecycle - drafting and negotiating LMA and non-LMA facilities and security, intercreditor arrangements, working alongside the corporate and restructuring teams. There is also a material portfolio of in-life work - restructures, re-sets, restatements and bolt-ons, for both lenders and borrowers - so it is not purely deal-by-deal.

Consistent transaction volume means matter responsibility comes early, and there is genuine scope to get involved in client development. Work runs local, national and international.

The team acts for borrowers, lenders and investors, so you see every side of a financing, and it holds approved panel status with many of the UK's major banks and financial institutions. Leeds is a core office and central to the firm's growth strategy.
