Description
New: Privacy and AI Lawyer, 3-5 PQE, £75,000-£80,000, Global Law Firm, Leeds
This role puts you at the centre of a global law firm’s privacy and AI work. You will advise the firm on how it handles data, confidentiality and AI across its international network, working directly with client-facing lawyers on bids, client terms and supplier arrangements.
The AI side of the remit is growing fast. The team’s core work has always been data protection, but it now increasingly covers AI and non-personal data, so you will help shape the firm’s approach in an area where the rules are still being written.
The work is genuinely varied. One week might be a Privacy Impact Assessment or AI risk assessment, the next negotiating data provisions with a client or supplier, assessing a security incident or contributing privacy input to a major bid. You will also draft policies and privacy notices and run training for lawyers and business teams.
You will join a dedicated privacy and data team led by a highly experienced Associate General Counsel, alongside fee earners, operations teams and data protection specialists in the firm’s overseas offices.
The breadth is hard to beat, with privacy and AI questions coming in from multiple jurisdictions and service lines across a global platform.
A rare chance to build serious AI expertise at the point where the law is taking shape.
