Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Associate to join an established team in Norwich, working across a broad range of rural and agricultural property matters. You’ll advise farmers, landowners, rural businesses, investors, trustees and charities, gaining exposure to complex transactions and developing long-term client relationships.

Whether you already have agricultural property experience or are looking to move into this specialist area from a general commercial property background, this role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise with support from experienced colleagues.

The work will include:

  • Acquisitions, disposals and advisory work involving farms, landed estates and agricultural land.
  • Refinancing transactions for landowners and rural businesses.
  • Agricultural, rural and business tenancies, as well as farming partnerships.
  • Trust-related property matters and complex farm and estate registrations.
  • Rural land development schemes, renewable energy and natural capital projects.
  • Mineral leases and strategic land transactions.

You’ll have meaningful client contact from the outset, working closely with colleagues across Real Estate and Private Client. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to the development and profile of the practice.

About you

You’ll be a qualified Solicitor with 1–5 years’ PQE and a strong interest in developing your career in agricultural and rural property.

Experience in agricultural property would be beneficial, although candidates with a general commercial property background and the motivation to specialise are also encouraged to apply.

You’ll bring strong drafting, communication and negotiation skills, good attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload effectively. A proactive, collaborative approach and an enthusiasm for building client relationships and contributing to business development will be important.

The benefits

  • Annual profit-sharing scheme, giving all employees an equal share of the firm's success.
  • Competitive pension provision, with salary sacrifice options.
  • Five weeks' annual leave, with the flexibility to buy or sell up to one week each year.
  • Additional paid leave for significant life events and personal commitments.
  • Enhanced long-service leave.
  • Enhanced family leave and pay arrangements, including support for new parents and adoptive families.
