Description

An opportunity for an Employment Solicitor to develop their career within an established and growing team, working with a varied client base on a broad range of employment law matters. This role would suit someone looking to build their technical experience, develop lasting client relationships and play an active part in the continued growth of the practice.

You’ll advise both employers and employees, handling a mix of advisory work and contentious matters, with support available from experienced senior lawyers on more complex cases.

The role will involve:

  • Advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy, discrimination, absence management and employment contracts.
  • Managing your own caseload of employment matters from initial instruction through to completion.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, workplace policies, settlement agreements and other employment-related documentation.
  • Supporting senior colleagues on employment tribunal claims, including case preparation, witness statements and hearing bundles.
  • Providing practical, commercially focused advice on day-to-day HR and employee relations issues.
  • Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development through networking, seminars and written updates.

You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the wider firm, maintain high standards of file management and compliance, and continue developing your knowledge of employment legislation and case law.

About you

You’ll be a qualified Solicitor with experience in employment law and the confidence to manage matters appropriate to your level of experience. You’ll have sound technical skills, good judgement and a practical approach to advising clients, alongside the communication skills needed to build effective working relationships.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative environment where you can learn from experienced lawyers, broaden your expertise and contribute to a growing employment practice.
