Description

Ready to take on more complex family work and have a real say in the development of a growing team?

I’m working with a long-established Edinburgh practice, offering an opportunity to join an experienced family law team with an established client base and scope to move your career forward.

You’ll manage your own caseload, including financial provision in high net worth and complex cases, with the autonomy to take responsibility for your work and experienced colleagues around you for support. It’s an opportunity to build on your technical experience while helping clients navigate some of the most significant decisions of their lives.

Ideally, you’ll have between two and five years’ PQE in family law and be comfortable progressing matters with minimal supervision. Experience of complex financial provision is particularly important, alongside sound judgement and the ability to give clear, practical advice with confidence and empathy.

You’ll be someone who builds relationships naturally, puts clients’ interests first and enjoys contributing to a team. There is also an opportunity to get involved in promoting the practice and developing the department as it continues to expand.

Law Society of Scotland specialist accreditation in family law would be welcomed. If you haven’t yet achieved this, you should be keen and ready to work towards it as an early priority.

With a supportive environment, an experienced team and opportunities for advancement, there is plenty here for an ambitious family lawyer looking for their next move.
