Commercial Disputes Paralegal Location: Leeds

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join an established legal business in Leeds, supporting its Commercial Disputes team.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced fee earners, gaining exposure to a broad range of commercial disputes across various industry sectors. It would suit someone with a genuine interest in litigation who is keen to develop their legal knowledge and build their career within a busy, client-focused environment.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting fee earners with commercial dispute matters, assisting with client advice and case progression.
• Preparing legal documents, correspondence and other case-related documentation.
• Conducting legal research and developing knowledge of relevant legislation, legal remedies and compliance requirements.
• Assisting with file and case management, file audits and client due diligence.
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting time recording and billing processes.
• Contributing to departmental projects and initiatives to improve service delivery.
• Helping ensure matters are handled efficiently, accurately and in accordance with internal procedures.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Experience working within a legal or busy administrative environment.
• Some experience in commercial litigation and/or insurance litigation, although this is not essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business software.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• A genuine interest in developing a career within commercial disputes.

Previous experience within a litigation department, exposure to fee-earning work and familiarity with case management systems would be advantageous.
